Heavy rain is expected to affect Fiji.
Fijians are advised to remain vigilant and prepare for the possibility of heavy rain over Fiji as a trough of low pressure lies over the West.
The Fiji Meteorological Service said the low pressure was expected to affect the Western Division later tonight.
The weather office further advised that some showers and thunderstorms would be experienced in the Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Kadavu, Lau and the Lomaiviti Group.
More showers would be expected in other parts of Fiji.
Na Draki Weather states that there could be a possible weak tropical cyclone in the wider Southwest Pacific region over the next seven to 10 days.
Na Draki Weather said that a Tropical Disturbance, which is approaching Fiji, was expected in the West in the next few days accompanied by heavy rain.
The outlook for the next three days showed a brief respite from the rain anticipated later in the week and over the weekend.
Cloudy skies and occasional showers are expected from tomorrow across the country.
“A few heavier falls from time to time with thunderstorms as a weak tropical disturbance is expected to develop to our west and moves south-eastward perhaps clipping the southwest corner of Viti
Levu or passing just to the south of Viti Levu tomorrow night (tonight) as winds shift northerly and freshen,” Na Draki said in a statement.
