Great ventures often start from humble beginnings, says Sa Jekia Jewelry owner, Grace Chow, after she launched her business with an investment of $100.

Part Chinese with maternal links to Naceva, Kadavu, Ms Chow is a student at the University of the South Pacific, studying law and human resource management.

The juggle between her studies, the large sum of fees it requires, and managing her business is a challenge she embraces.

Ms Chow’s jewelry business helps finance her studies.

Making earring was a childhood hobby for her.

She started her business in 2019 with her mom.

Ms Chow makes a wide range of polymer earrings.

“If it wasn’t for my mother’s love and support I won’t be able to reach this far,” the 23-yr-old said.

“I’m forever grateful for the continuous support.”

She encourages youths to get out of their comfort zone, to see the real world and not be afraid to start a business.

Whatever your heart conceives that it will achieve.
