Two men charged with the murder of a Kadavu man appeared at the High Court in Suva yesterday.
Apisai Lomani Junior, 41, and Leone Naisake, 26, are jointly charged with one count of murder of a 36-year-old man.
The alleged incident occurred in Kadavu on December 26, 2018.
It is alleged that Lomani and Naisake caused the death of Filipe Loloma in Wailialia Farm.
State prosecutor from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Sujata Lodhia told the court that the State was given time to prepare and serve the agreed facts, however, the State and defence lawyers have not been able to meet to prepare the same.
She requested for time to file the agreed facts.
Defence lawyer Filimoni Vosarogo told the court that he would be making a formal bail application for Naisake and the defence was looking for two suitable sureties.
The case was adjourned to June 10 for mention. Lomani Junior’s bail was further extended while Naisake was further remanded in custody pending bail application.
