Infanticide
A 33-year-old woman is under Police investigation for allegedly killing her baby boy after giving birth last Tuesday at a village in Kadavu. Last Thursday, she was rushed to the Vunisea Hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pain where it was discovered she had just given birth recently.
A post mortem examination is expected to be conducted tomorrow.
The public, especially single mothers are advised to seek assistance from relatives, elderly members of the family, religious leaders, NGOs, health authorities, Police and other Government agencies if they have problems.
Burglary
Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly broke into the house of a 48-year-old businessman at Cove Road, Nadi, and allegedly stole three sets of diamond rings, a bracelet, a bengal, two pendants, four pairs of earrings and cash.
